Please note the revised summer schedule noted on our website and posted in the studio. There will be NO classes on Thursdays and no class on Wednesday at 6:30pm or Friday at 6:30pm for duration of the summer. We will resume a normal schedule after Labor Day and will update the website and current students on the Fall schedule in August.
Santa Clara Ballet School - The Official School of the Santa Clara Ballet Company
The Santa Clara Ballet School offers classical ballet training for students ages 3 years to Adult. The primary goal of the School is to provide excellent training for those aspiring for a professional career in dance. For the past 40 years, students have received professional, quality instruction combined with personal attention, and many have fulfilled their goals for professional careers in dance. A significant feature of the school is the individual attention and personal corrections given to students so that they can fully develop their full potential, regardless of their goal to pursue a professional career or not. Santa Clara Ballet School provides students the valuable opportunity to participate in the Santa Clara Ballet Company's full-length productions with seasoned professionals serving as role models. The experience of performing plays a vital role in the dancer's development as a dance professional.

- Tuition is based on a 4-week session in a 48-week School year, beginning in September. Please make sure to write student's name on check. See below for current School Calendar.
- Tuition must be paid in advance and is due by the 10th of each month. A fee of $20 applies for each month that tuition payment is late. You will be billed for late fees.
- A fee of $30 applies to any bounced check.
- No refunds or adjustments are allowed. Exceptions will be made for special circumstances.
- Missed classes may be made up by the first week of the following month. Missed classes cannot be deducted from the regular monthly tuition.
- Students who intend to take long vacations that do not fall on the scheduled School vacation may arrange to pay by the 4-week session instead of monthly. Otherwise tuition must be paid in full for the month of August. This payment is a requirement for registration in the Fall. If a prolonged vacation is anticipated, please make arrangements in advance with the Director.
The School reserves the right to refuse or dismiss any student who may represent a conflict of interest or may be a liability in any way to the School, its Policies, and/or Management & Teachers.
All students should have hair neatly and securely fastened away from the neck and face
- Pre-Ballet: Introduces the young student to dance, music and basic tempos. Teaches the students the relationship between body and movement, introduces concepts of spatial relations while moving, basic dance movement, pantomime and storytelling.
Dress Code: Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers
- Pre-Professional Division (Ballet I, II, III, IV): Developmental classes with emphasis on technique and placement. Children at certain technical levels arerequired to take 1, 2 or 3 classes. Dress Code: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers
- Adult Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced: Designed specifically for adults who dance for fitness, aesthetics, and personal enjoyment.
- Male student dress code: White t-shirt, and socks, black tights or biker shorts, white ballet slippers
